IN-PERSON WORKSHOP: Moving to Higher Ground - Live in Bali, Indonesia

  • In Person Retreat Ubud Indonesia (map)

Moving to Higher Ground (MTHG) is a unique clinical mentorship program led by Kim Barthel, OTR, alongside a team of experienced co-facilitators. Since 2001, Kim has delivered MTHG worldwide, offering a holistic, trans-disciplinary, neurobiology-informed, strength-based, and relationship-focused approach to therapy.

Hosted by Linda Collier, OTR, and Hannah Edwards, OTR, the Bali edition of MTHG is the realisation of their long-held dream—a retreat-style training in one of the world’s most serene locations. With over 15 combined trips to Bali, Linda and Hannah have developed deep connections with local communities and the onsite school where treatment labs will be conducted. They believe that stepping away from daily distractions fosters the most meaningful learning experiences.

A Transformative Experience for Therapists

MTHG is designed not just for clinical skill development, but for personal and professional growth. The program includes:
✔️ Cutting-edge clinical mentorship through lectures, group discussions, and hands-on experiential learning.
✔️ Treatment labs where participants engage directly with children, observe demonstrations, and analyse treatment approaches through video review.
✔️ Personal development in a supportive, retreat-style environment that encourages self-awareness, reflection, and collaboration.

Participants will work in dyads, collaborating both within and across disciplines. Each clinician is paired with a child suited to their learning goals, based on a comprehensive self-assessment questionnaire completed before arrival.
